VEIL — Privacy Policy

VEIL (“we,” “us,” the “App”) is a premium short-form drama streaming app operated by Veil Media LLC. This policy explains what information the App handles and how. We designed VEIL to collect as little as possible.

1. We don’t require an account

You can browse and watch VEIL as a guest. The App does not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or a profile from you to use the App.

2. Information stored on your device

To make the App work, we save the following on your device only (using local storage). This data is not transmitted to servers we operate — we do not run a user-data backend:

Your watch progress and “Continue Watching” position
Episodes you’ve liked and series saved to “My List”
Your in-app coin balance, daily streak, and subscription status
App preferences (e.g., playback and notification settings)

Because this lives on your device, deleting the App removes it. It does not sync across devices in this version.

3. Purchases

Subscriptions and any in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment and billing information — we never see or store your card or payment details. Apple’s handling of that data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

4. Video streaming

Video is delivered through Cloudflare Stream. To stream video, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical connection data such as your IP address, device type, and network information — this is standard for delivering video over the internet. See Cloudflare’s privacy documentation for details.

5. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the App may send reminders (for example, a daily reward or a nudge to continue an episode). This uses a device push token provided by your operating system. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

6. What we do NOT do

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use third-party advertising or ad-tracking SDKs.
We do not build advertising profiles about you.
We do not knowingly collect information from children. VEIL is rated for mature audiences and is not directed to children under 13.

7. Content protection

To protect copyrighted content, the App detects screenshots and screen recordings while you watch and may obscure the video or show a notice. This detection happens on your device and is used only to protect content — it does not collect information about you.

8. Your choices

Delete your data: uninstalling the App removes the data stored on your device.
Notifications: manage in your device’s Settings.
Purchases & subscriptions: manage or cancel in your App Store account settings.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
